A bit about us  

Scenkonst Västernorrland is a regional cultural institution that works with professional performing arts and film. We are around 90 full-time employees based at two locations. In Härnösand you can find the dance company Norrdans. Musik Västernorrland and Nordiska Kammarorkestern resides at Tonhallen in Sundsvall. At our head office, located on Norra Järnvägsgatan in Sundsvall, both Film Västernorrland and Teater Västernorrland can be found, along with the company´s marketing and administration departments.  

We are also one of Northern Sweden’s biggest employers for freelance artists and cultural workers. Each year we employ around 150 people on contracts of different durations.

In both Sundsvall and Härnösand, you will live close to the sea and the forest with access to the regions amazing outdoors. Within a few minutes, you can reach sandy beaches, woodsy walking trails, skiing slopes, and first-class cross-country skiing trails. If you like culture, entertainment, and good food there are many alternatives. Sundsvall is known for its many, and varied, restaurants.  

If you are a sports fan you can enjoy football with GIF Sundsvall and hockey enthusiasts can choose between the regional rivals Timrå IK and Modo Hockey.
